Functional & Integrative Medicine

Functional & Integrative Medicine From Home

Understand what's really driving how you feel.

Persistent fatigue, weight changes, digestive discomfort and brain fog can sometimes involve overlapping health factors. THRYVE Wellness Medical provides virtual functional and integrative care to eligible patients in Texas, North Carolina and South Carolina.

Depending on your health history and clinical needs, care may include a detailed consultation, review of existing results, clinically appropriate diagnostic testing and personalized recommendations. Testing and treatment decisions are individualized rather than based on a standard protocol.

What Is Functional & Integrative Medicine?

THRYVE brings functional and integrative approaches together to consider your health history, lifestyle, nutrition, symptoms and clinical findings as part of a more complete picture.

    Functional Medicine

Functional medicine considers how medical history, lifestyle, nutrition and other health factors may relate to a patient's symptoms and overall health.

    Integrative Medicine

Integrative medicine coordinates conventional medical care with evidence-informed approaches such as nutrition and lifestyle support when appropriate.

At THRYVE, these approaches may inform preventive care, nutrition guidance and an individualized health plan developed around the patient's history, goals and clinical findings.

    Health Concerns

Health Concerns Your THRYVE Provider May Evaluate

Depending on THRYVE's scope of care and your individual needs, your provider may evaluate concerns involving:

    • Chronic fatigue and low energy
    • Brain fog
    • Digestive concerns and gut health
    • Hormonal changes and related health concerns
    • Metabolic health and blood sugar concerns
    • Sleep concerns
    • Women's health
    • Men's health
    • Preventive health and healthy aging

THRYVE also provides dedicated hormone and metabolic health services for eligible patients who may benefit from focused evaluation and care.

    Personalized Testing

Diagnostic Testing Based on Your Needs

Testing may be recommended when it can help answer a specific clinical question or guide an appropriate next step. Based on your symptoms, health history and previous results, your provider may consider markers related to hormonal, metabolic or nutritional health. A laboratory value is interpreted alongside the rest of your clinical information and does not establish a diagnosis by itself. Testing is not required or appropriate for every patient.

THRYVE offers at-home specimen collection and mobile phlebotomy. The appropriate collection method depends on the test selected and your location.

    Who This Approach May Suit

Functional and integrative care may appeal to adults seeking a detailed review of their health history, symptoms, lifestyle and existing test results. It may also suit eligible patients who prefer virtual appointments and want ongoing provider guidance. An initial consultation helps determine whether THRYVE's services are appropriate or whether another type of care or referral may be needed. This service is not intended for medical emergencies and does not replace primary care.
